Orion Taraban, Relationships -

Working though a betrayal is extremely difficult. It will likely take considerable time, energy, and expense, and there is no guarantee that it will work. Therefore, it is reasonable to expect at least a decent prognosis before setting out. In this episode, I will discuss the two things needed to heal a betrayal, such that -- if either one of these things is missing -- there's frankly little hope of a successful resolution. Orion Taraban, Personal Development -

This is a very simple mind hack that I've developed to guard against frustration and disappointment. Look: you should take what people say with a grain of salt. When they say that they're going to do something (or that they're not going to do something), just say to yourself: "we'll see." Withhold your judgment until you see behavioral confirmation of their commitment one way or another. Trust and doubt are earned. Orion is a licensed psychologist in the state of California. This means that certain thoughts have absolutely no business taking up space in your mind. Removing cognitions that predictably lead to emotions like anger, anxiety, and despair is essential to cultivating happiness and peace of mind. Exercise no mercy in deracinating problematic thoughts. In a scarcity mentality, we lose what we cling to in fear because we believe it to be preferable to the nothingness we assume would take its place. Developing an abundance mentality necessitates that we cultivate greater trust in the universe to provide opportunities to fulfill our needs and desires. In this episode, I discuss an example of scarcity mentality in my own history and how I learned to have faith in abundance.

Cannabis, Orion Taraban, Personal Development -

Many folks believe cannabis to be a relatively harmless drug: it's next to impossible to overdose on it, and it doesn't seem to create physiological dependence. It's not a "hard" drug, like some of the other "bad" ones. However, weed is much more dangerous than most people think. Among other things, it tricks people into thinking that they're using their time well, and it keeps people comfortable in situations they have no business being comfortable in.
